We currently offer 3 farm camps per summer. Our farm camp is a 4 day experience. Your child will join us Monday - Thursday from 9-1. We will spend our mornings together doing farm chores along with some fun experiences like preparing wool for spinning, foraging, making butter, gardening, caring for our animals, etc. We will also cook and eat lunch together outside. Pricing $200 per child Sibling discount: First child is $200, each additional sibling is $150 Our tentative dates for camp are May 13-16, June 10-13 (FULL), and July 8-11. Dates are subject to change in the next couple months, as we schedule sheep and alpaca shearing, etc.
The May camp is set for May 13-16, with a bonus sheep shearing day May 11 at 9 am.
Our June camp is full. If you'd like to be on the cancellation list, please send me a message! Please note: certain conditions need to be met, including good weather and minimum registrations to hold camp. If conditions are not met, camp for that week will be cancelled. We will, of course, refund your payment or roll it over to a different week. We expect all camps to go forward as planned! Thanks for understanding.
What to wear/bring to farm camp:
rubber boots
sandals or sneakers
clothes that can get ruined
water bottle
gardening gloves
extra set of clothes
a happy heart ready to work and have fun!
Our goal is to teach your child skills they can continue to practice at home, no matter where you live. At the end of the week they will take home a variety of things that will include a Cactus Hills Farm shirt, cup, tote, and a folder full of things learned. We will also send something from the farm home with them; it may be a kombucha SCOBY, a small tomato plant, or something different - it depends on the time of year they join us!
